    UK-Wide Interim Management

    Interim Management UK

Interim management across the whole of the UK — experienced operational leaders placed directly into businesses that need experienced management of the day-to-day operation.

    What AJS Does

    Operational responsibility, not recommendations.

Interim management is the appointment of an experienced manager into a business for a defined period, to hold or improve the operating position while a permanent solution is decided. It is used when a leadership gap appears suddenly, when a business enters an insolvency process, or when a site is underperforming and needs hands-on control.

AJS is an operational business first. We identify and deploy managers who have run hotels, holiday parks, retail estates and business centres themselves, and who are comfortable walking into an unfamiliar operation and taking responsibility for it from day one.

Assignments run UK-wide, typically starting within 24 to 72 hours of instruction. Reporting is weekly and consistent, so owners, lenders, investors or the appointed office holder always have a clear view of the operating position.

    • Day-to-day management of the operation and the existing team
    • Trading continuity through administration, transition or change
    • Cost, labour and supplier control
    • Health, safety, licensing and statutory compliance
    • Weekly operational and trading reporting to stakeholders
    • Handover to a buyer, a permanent manager or an orderly closure

    When You May Need AJS

    • A business entering administration that still needs to trade
    • Sudden loss of a director, general manager or operations lead
    • Sites underperforming with no available management capacity

    FAQs

    Common questions

What does an interim manager actually do?
An interim manager is appointed into a business for a defined period to hold or improve the operating position. AJS interims take full operational responsibility — line management of the team, trading decisions, cost and labour control, compliance and stakeholder reporting.
Do you work across the whole of the UK?
Yes. Assignments run UK-wide across hospitality, holiday parks, retail and business centres, covering single sites, regional portfolios and national multi-site operations.
How much does interim management cost?
Fees are agreed in advance on a day rate or fixed monthly basis, with a defined scope, reporting rhythm and exit set out in writing before we begin. There is no recruitment fee and no long-term tie-in.
